The Star
6 cardsCategory: General Predictive Spreads
A spread about hope, direction, and the guiding star.
Overview
The Star is a simple yet profound 6-card spread laid out in the shape of a six-pointed star. Cards 1, 4, and 5 characterize the situation, matter, or question asked. Cards 2, 3, and 6 characterize the querent themselves and their attitude toward the situation. Each pair of cards corresponds to a specific level of perception: cards 1 and 6 — the level of consciousness, mind, and spirit; cards 2 and 4 — the external, material, physical level; cards 3 and 5 — the level of soul, intuition, and instinct. This structure allows you to see the situation from three sides at once and understand how the querent's inner state affects external circumstances.

Card Positions
Essence of the situation (consciousness)
The top card of the star. Shows the essence of the question or situation at the level of consciousness and mind. Together with card 6, it forms the 'spirit — consciousness' axis: how the querent comprehends what is happening and what the true nature of the matter is. This card is responsible for the rational understanding of the situation.
The querent (material level)
The lower left card of the star. Characterizes the querent and their attitude toward the situation at the external, material, physical level. Together with card 4, it forms the 'matter' axis: showing how practical, everyday, financial, and physical aspects of the querent's life are connected to the question asked.
The querent (soul level)
The lower right card of the star. Characterizes the querent and their attitude toward the situation at the level of soul, intuition, and instinct. Together with card 5, it forms the 'soul' axis: revealing the querent's deep feelings, premonitions, and instinctive reactions regarding the question asked.
Situation (material level)
The upper left card of the star. Characterizes the situation, matter, or question at the external, material, physical level. Together with card 2, it forms the 'matter' axis: showing the specific, practical circumstances of the matter — money, health, conditions, resources, physical environment.
Situation (soul level)
The upper right card of the star. Characterizes the situation, matter, or question at the level of soul, intuition, and instinct. Together with card 3, it forms the 'soul' axis: showing the emotional and energetic side of the situation — what is felt on an intuitive level, what hidden currents and invisible forces are at work.
The querent (consciousness, spirit)
The bottom card of the star. Characterizes the querent and their attitude toward the situation at the level of consciousness, mind, and spirit. Together with card 1, it forms the vertical 'spirit' axis: showing how the querent's thoughts, beliefs, worldview, and spiritual state influence the situation and determine their choices.
How to Read
Shuffle the deck while focusing on your question. Draw 6 cards and lay them out in the shape of a six-pointed star: card 1 — top center, card 4 — upper left, card 5 — upper right, card 2 — lower left, card 3 — lower right, card 6 — bottom center. Read the spread along three axes: the vertical axis (1 and 6) — the level of consciousness and spirit; the left diagonal (4 and 2) — the material level; the right diagonal (5 and 3) — the level of soul and intuition. Cards 1, 4, 5 describe the situation; cards 2, 3, 6 describe the querent.
Tips & Advice
The main strength of this spread lies in the three axes of perception. Do not read cards individually — compare them in pairs. The 'spirit' axis (1 and 6): if the cards are harmonious — the querent sees the situation clearly; if they contradict — their perception is distorted. The 'matter' axis (4 and 2): agreement means material circumstances match the querent's actions; divergence points to practical problems. The 'soul' axis (5 and 3): harmony means intuition is correct; conflict means the querent is suppressing their true feelings. Pay special attention to the overall balance: if situation cards (1, 4, 5) are positive but querent cards (2, 3, 6) are negative — the problem is not in the circumstances but in the person themselves, and vice versa.
