Card Positions

1

What is the meaning of my life?

The card points to the deep meaning of your existence, what you are here for. This is not a specific goal, but rather a direction that gives life significance and fulfillment.

2

Where am I mistaken?

Shows your delusions — false beliefs, illusions, or distorted perception of reality that prevent you from seeing the true state of affairs.

3

Where did I make a mistake?

Points to a specific mistake or wrong step that led to the current situation. This could be a decision, action, or choice whose consequences you still feel.

4

What needs to be fixed?

The card shows what exactly needs to be fixed or changed in your life to get back on the right path. A specific action or change of attitude.

5

How am I living?

Reflects your current way of life, behavior style, and general approach to existence. The card in the center of the spread is a mirror of your everyday life.

6

What is my calling?

Points to your true path — the work, occupation, or role you are destined for. A calling does not always coincide with a profession, but it always resonates with the soul.

7

Where can I find myself?

Shows the sphere, activity, or area of life in which you can unlock your potential and find harmony with yourself.

8

Where are my beliefs false?

Reveals false beliefs — attitudes taken as truth that actually distort your worldview and lead you down the wrong path.

9

What am I dependent on?

Shows your dependency — what you cannot control about yourself. This could be an emotional, behavioral, or material attachment that limits your freedom.

10

Where do I need to take control?

Points to an area of life where discipline and self-control are needed. This is where you let yourself go, allow yourself too much, or lose power over yourself.

11

What is unacceptable for me?

The card shows your red line — what is categorically unacceptable, what violates your deepest values and boundaries. This is your inner taboo.

12

What am I losing due to my foolishness?

Shows what you are losing due to your own unwise actions, stubbornness, or refusal to see the obvious. This is the price you pay for your mistakes.

13

What kind of life to lead from now on?

The final card of the spread — advice on what way of life to choose, in which direction to move forward. This is the Tarot's recommendation about your future path.

How to Read

Shuffle the full deck while focusing on the question 'Who am I?' or 'What is happening to me?'. Draw 13 cards and lay them out: top left pair 3 and 1, top right pair 2 and 4. In the center — card 5 (how I live). On the sides in the middle row: left 9 and 8, right 6 and 7. Bottom row: 10, 11, 12, 13. Read the spread starting with card 1 (meaning of life), then examine mistakes and delusions (2, 3, 4). Card 5 in the center — your current lifestyle. Side cards reveal calling (6, 7) and dependencies (8, 9). Bottom row — practical advice: self-control (10), boundaries (11), losses (12), and direction (13).

Tips & Advice

The 'Understanding Yourself' spread works best during moments of life crisis or loss of direction. Pay special attention to the connection between cards 1 (meaning of life) and 6 (calling) — they often echo and complement each other. Cards 2 and 8 both speak of delusions, but 2 — about more general ones, and 8 — about deep-seated beliefs. If cards 9 (dependency) and 10 (self-control) point to the same theme — this is a sign that immediate self-work is needed right there. Card 13 is the final advice and deserves the most careful attention.
