The eighteenth zone lives on the harmony around it. It matters to such a person how everything looks, how it goes together and how it feels: the home, clothes, the table, the surroundings.
Taste here is usually unconventional and exact — this person combines what others take to be uncombinable, and turns out to be right. Often it is people like this who set the tone rather than follow it.
The other side of the zone is hospitality. Cooking, receiving people, arranging things for others is not a duty but a way of recovering.
The vulnerability follows from that: in an ugly, uncomfortable, alien setting the eighteenth zone switches off. What looks like a trifle to others is, for it, the condition of being able to work at all.
