The seventeenth task is to create. Music, texts, image, form — the direction is free; what matters is that a thing appears which did not exist before.
The particular feature of the task is that it is not confined to art. An ordinary project — in economics, in construction, in anything at all — is presented by a person with the seventeenth task in such a way that it inspires, and that too is the task being carried out.
What is made has to go out into the world. Creative work kept in a drawer does not count for this task: the point is that what has been created should move someone.
A frequent obstacle is dismissing one's own work. Such a person compares themselves with the big names and decides they have nothing to show — and the task stops at exactly that point.
