The nine is Mars, the sign of will and drive. A person under it is blunt, businesslike and wastes no time on preliminaries: they act and get a result while others are still discussing.

They are independent and enter alliances with difficulty — personal ones and business ones alike. Not because they do not value people, but because they are not prepared to negotiate every step. In exchange they are a protector in the most literal sense: they have strength and character enough for those in their charge, and they do not back off when things get hard.

The main risk is pressure. Mars easily crosses the line between "stood firm" and "forced it through", and usually notices this later than everyone else.

The last digit of the year of birth is taken — as it stands, with no reduction. There are ten possibilities, from zero to nine.

Each digit corresponds to a planet: 0 — Pluto, 1 — Sun, 2 — Moon, 3 — Jupiter, 4 — Uranus, 5 — Mercury, 6 — Venus, 7 — Neptune, 8 — Saturn, 9 — Mars.

It is worth reading it on two levels. The first — the planet itself and the set of traits that goes with it. The second — which of the two classes the sign belongs to: 0, 1, 4, 5 and 8 the system calls masculine, and 2, 3, 6, 7 and 9 — feminine. These are names of groups, not a statement about a person's sex: both men and women are born under every digit.
