Downward vector: the first arcanum is greater than the second

When the arcanum of the first block is greater than the second, the vector points downwards. The system reads this as a descending stretch: the person has less of an engine of their own, and development does not start by itself.

In practice this looks like an even attitude to achievement. Not laziness in the everyday sense, but the absence of an inner demand to grow: what there is, is enough, and external incentives work weakly on such a person. For them to take on something big, someone close by usually has to put in a great deal of effort.

The other, underrated side is staying power. The descending vector tolerates monotony and long repetition well — that is, precisely what the ascending ones fall apart on. The strengths here appear where the job is not to change but to hold.

Year arcana and vector

Year → two blocks → a pair of arcana and a vector

The year, read through the arcana, describes maturity: the task for the future, the attitude to one's own health, and the goal a person came for. What is examined here is the part of it that shows the drive — how strongly a person is pulled towards changing the state of things.

The year is split into two blocks of two digits each. The first — the beginning of the year: 19 or 20. The second — the last two digits; no reduction is performed, but if the result is greater than 22, 22 is subtracted from the number as many times as needed to arrive at an arcanum from 1 to 22.

The first block is responsible for the task towards the country and the people. The relation between the blocks sets the vector: the second greater than the first — the vector points up; the first greater than the second — down; equal — a point of balance, from which both directions are equally possible.
