Arcanum three fills a person through what they have raised. The direct reading is parenthood: beside children, their own or taken in, they come alive and find a meaning that needs no explaining.
But the arcanum reads more broadly. If there are no children, or if a life's work takes up all the time there is, the same role is played by a creation — something started from nothing and brought to the point where it stands on its own. A business, a school, a team that the person gathered and grew.
The two readings have one thing in common: there has to be something that would not have appeared without them and that grows through their involvement.
What arcanum three lacks most is not rest but a result it can see fully grown.
