The tenth arcanum is about other people's property: taken away, ruined, appropriated, spoiled. A debt that was never repaid, an inheritance divided by deception, a business destroyed out of envy.
In the lineage this reads as money that will not stay. What is earned goes on the unforeseen, large purchases fall through, savings are lost whole rather than piece by piece. There is often a sense that prosperity comes up to a certain mark exactly and goes no further.
The working-off is to give back. Debts, things taken "for a while", what is not yours and stayed in your hands after a division. And not to build your own well-being on someone else's loss: a deal in which the other side lost costs more here than it brought in.
