The seventh arcanum is about decisions taken on another person's behalf. Coercion, blackmail, "we know better what is good for you", another person's choice of profession, of place, of companion broken across the knee. Manipulation belongs here too — where a person appears to act of their own accord but is following somebody else's script.
In the lineage this comes back symmetrically. The descendant either turns out to be the one for whom everything is always decided, or cannot bear it when those close to them act their own way — and more often both, by turns. A sense appears of living to someone else's timetable, one that cannot be escaped without a scene.
The working-off is to give the choice back to those it was taken from, beginning with the closest circle. Not to give advice until asked; to bear another person's decision that you consider mistaken; and to claim the same right for yourself, without asking permission.
