The twelfth arcanum produces a person who is gentle, sensitive and turned towards others. They need involvement and they need somebody beside them; on their own they lose their bearings.

Hence the lack of independence that is usually spoken of with disapproval — and here it is not a weakness of character but a way of being made: such a person opens up in a pairing and scarcely works in isolation.

The second trait is an unusual angle of vision. The twelfth arcanum sees a situation differently from everyone else and often proposes what nobody else had thought of.

The weak point is dependence on other people's opinions. They are easy to talk round, and not always in the right direction.

Day arcanum — character

Day arcanum = DT

The day of birth is the main part of the date. It is responsible for character and for what childhood was like, and along with that — for the past incarnation and for what a person brings out of it: inclinations, a craft, an attitude to work.

It is read as a general frame — much the way a zodiac sign is read in astrology: it describes a tendency, not the whole person. Character is made up of many numbers, and no one of them cancels out the rest.

The same arcanum can come from different days: for those born on the 1st and on the 23rd it coincides (23 − 22 = 1), but their ruling planets are different, and that shows in the character.

This is the positive part of the calculation — what a person starts from and can lean on, not a list of their limitations.
