The second arcanum gives a sensitivity to what has not been said out loud. Such a person reads the situation before they have worked out the facts, and is usually right.

They are reserved and do not put themselves on show at once: what they think is known to few, and not quickly. This creates an impression of being closed off, though the reason is a different one — they need time to formulate.

The other half of this arcanum is a pull towards what is deep: towards knowledge that does not lie on the surface, towards what requires patience and solitude.

The weak point is trusting one's own feeling against the evidence. The instinct here is strong, but it still has to be checked.

Day arcanum — character

Day arcanum = DT

The day of birth is the main part of the date. It is responsible for character and for what childhood was like, and along with that — for the past incarnation and for what a person brings out of it: inclinations, a craft, an attitude to work.

It is read as a general frame — much the way a zodiac sign is read in astrology: it describes a tendency, not the whole person. Character is made up of many numbers, and no one of them cancels out the rest.

The same arcanum can come from different days: for those born on the 1st and on the 23rd it coincides (23 − 22 = 1), but their ruling planets are different, and that shows in the character.

This is the positive part of the calculation — what a person starts from and can lean on, not a list of their limitations.
