The fifteenth arcanum is about a will that was broken. Systematic humiliation, keeping a person in dependence, exploiting their weakness, drawing them into something they could not get out of afterwards.
In the lineage this shows up as addictions and as guilt with no event behind it. The descendant falls easily under influence — of people, of habits, of relationships in which they are unhappy and which they do not leave. Or they take the opposite position and subordinate others, explaining it as care.
The working-off is not to humiliate. Not to make use of someone else's dependence, even when it is convenient; to let go of those who stay close not of their own will; and to leave, oneself, the places people stay in out of fear. The law closes where a person has stopped paying with freedom — their own or someone else's.
